Study at a world-class equestrian center

SCAD students' gateway to the equestrian world is the Ronald C. Waranch Equestrian Center, the university's state-of-the-art, 180-acre compound located north of Savannah. Home to the champion SCAD equestrian team and the equestrian studies program, students prepare for careers in business, marketing, medicine, and sport from an equestrian center that features two stable barns, three competition arenas, a covered riding arena, paddocks, pastures, a staff veterinarian, and industry-standard equipment. The Shaw Pavilion offers a covered riding arena for practice and fieldwork and is engineered with considerations for optimal equine vision and ventilation.

SCAD equestrian studies alumni are prepared for a range of equine careers, including as competitive riders, trainers, and barn managers. Gain the competitive edge with SCAD

The SCAD equestrian studies program runs parallel to the university's powerhouse equestrian team, which has won more national championships in the last two decades decade than any other team in the country — earning more than 100 individual and team awards since 2002. Among these honors are more than 40 individual and team American National Riding Commission champion and reserve champion titles — including a string of six consecutive national team championships — and nearly 40 individual Intercollegiate Horse Show Association champion and reserve champion titles.
