Mobile SCAD Card
The university's official ID is available on your iPhone, Apple Watch, or Android device.
Note: Residents living in Oglethorpe House will continue to use a physical SCAD Card for entry into their rooms. They may choose to use a Mobile SCAD Card for all other services. These are the only students who will have access to both the physical SCAD Card and the Mobile SCAD Card simultaneously.

Get started
1Upload your photo
To be eligible for the mobile credential you must have an approved SCAD photo on file with card services. Visit the SCAD Card department page to upload your photo for approval or navigate there from MySCAD > Personal info page > SCAD Card channel > "Submit a SCAD Card photo" link. Review photo guidelines before submitting your photo. An approval notice will be sent to your SCAD email within 7-10 business days. If denied, a reason will be provided, and another photo can be submitted.
2Set up your Mobile SCAD Card on your device(s)
Follow these instructions to set up your Mobile SCAD Card on your iPhone or Android device. Please allow 5-10 minutes between activating your iPhone and activating your Apple Watch to prevent an overlap of active credentials and potential issues with access.
3Use your Mobile SCAD Card
Your Mobile SCAD Card is now ready for use.
No internet is required to access academic buildings, residence halls, meal plans, fitness centers, the SCAD Bee Line, or to check out at the library.
For iPhones 6S/6S Plus and later: The Express Mode is enabled by default. When using your Mobile SCAD Card, place the top back portion of the phone near the contactless card reader.
For iPhones 6/6 Plus: Double-click the home button and select the Mobile SCAD Card. Authenticate with Touch ID and hold the top of the phone near the contactless reader.
For Android devices: Press the power button to wake up the screen and place the back of your phone near the contactless card reader. Please be sure the Atrium Campus Connect app is running in the background.
Internet is required to use full mode. You'll use full mode to confirm your identification with security or at events. For Android devices, open the Atrium Campus Connect app and log in with your SCAD credentials. Tap the card icon on the top-right corner of the screen for your virtual SCAD Card. For iOS devices, open your credential in your Apple Wallet to view your virtual SCAD Card.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to enroll in the Mobile SCAD Card program?
SCAD is a mobile first campus, if you have the technology to support use of the mobile credential that will be your method of identification on campus.
What happens if I get a new device?
For iOS devices: Remove your mobile credential(s) from your Apple Wallet or by accessing it through your iCloud account if you no longer have the old device. You will then be able to log into the SCAD app using your SCAD credentials to activate your Mobile SCAD Card on your new device.
For Android devices: If you have your old device, deactivate your credential via the Atrium Campus Connect app and delete the app. Contact the SCAD Card office to have your old credential removed from your record. Then, download the Atrium Campus Connect app and activate your mobile credential on your new device.
What's the difference between a physical SCAD Card and the Mobile SCAD Card?
The Mobile SCAD Card provides a more seamless experience at all campus locations. However, both are official university IDs and are accepted everywhere.
What if I want to switch ID types?
Switching from a physical card to mobile is free. If you have lost or broken your device and need to be issued a temporary physical SCAD Card, there is a $25 fee that will be applied to your student account.
