SCAD has partnered with Inceptia, a division of the National Student Loan Program, to give you a leg up on your financial future with Loan Summary and post-graduation loan outreach. These programs are provided to SCAD students at no cost and can help you prepare for your creative career.

Loan summary

During your time at SCAD, if you have borrowed federal loans, you will be emailed access to your Inceptia Loan Summary. Loan Summary allows students to view their student loan balances, understand and estimate repayment, and learn about resources to help make informed borrowing decisions. Repayment counseling outreach

In partnership with SCAD, Inceptia provides free assistance on your student loan obligations to ensure you feel comfortable — and can be successful — in your loan repayment.

While you are in your grace period, their counselors may reach out to you to answer questions you may have on your repayment options. If you become delinquent on your loans, they may also contact you to help find a solution that works within your means.

Their expert counselors can help you:

  • Understand your options, including affordable repayment plans
  • Apply for income-driven repayment
  • Explore consolidation
  • Review deferment and forbearance options
  • Avoid default and protect your financial future

Inceptia counselors will stay in touch by phone, email, and/or letters to best assist you. Inceptia's services are completely free and confidential. They will not be collecting money from you.
