Financial wellness

Every day, students make important financial choices: funding their education, managing daily living expenses, and choosing a career. The financial wellness program at SCAD empowers students to learn important financial skills necessary to make informed choices and prepare for their professional pursuits.

Accredited SCAD staff work in collaboration with the office of student success and advising, office for career and alumni success, and student financial services to provide financial literacy to students through several programs, including:

  • Quarterly workshops on topics such as budgeting, financial goal setting, saving, building credit, and managing student loans
  • Classroom and student organization visits
  • Exit loan counseling for graduating students
  • One-on-one counseling to assist students in developing their financial goals

These services are provided to SCAD students at no cost. To learn more about resources offered by financial wellness, visit MySCAD > Personal info page > Financial wellness programs channel.
