SCAD Performance Ensemble
The SCAD Performance Ensemble is a dynamic group of singing student actors and performers who present a concert each quarter, featuring music theater repertoire and popular music standards. The ensemble proudly represents the university at a variety of events, including SCAD Days, SCAD commencement, and university signature events and community outreach like the SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival.
SCAD Savannah students of any class level and from any program may audition for the SCAD Performance Ensemble. Auditions are held only at the beginning of fall quarter, and scholarship consideration is given to students selected to join.
Members are required to maintain a 3.0 GPA and attend all scheduled rehearsals and performances, with occasional exceptions based on other departmental productions. The SCAD Performance Ensemble rehearses year-round Mondays and Wednesdays during the 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. class time, with additional evening and weekend rehearsals leading up to events.
