SCAD public health emergency response
SCAD operates under two levels of infectious disease response: Standard Operating and Heightened Response. The university reviews a variety of data in consultation with a panel of public-health experts to inform decision making for campus operations. SCAD is functioning under Standard Operating conditions at present.
Standard operating
Community members are asked to remain vigilant and follow healthy behaviors. SCAD will share infectious-disease-related information as necessary.
Heightened response
Conditions within the context of the SCAD community warrant more diligent and aligned response efforts from all campus members. SCAD emails will alert campus members about operating changes and provide necessary action steps when navigating heightened response modes.
Student isolation
Students should take appropriate steps if they test positive for COVID-19, including:
- Self-isolate in your residence, keeping a distance from roommates and wearing a mask when in the same space as others. You can return home to isolate, if preferred. Follow the current CDC guidelines on isolation.
- Stay out of in-person classes for the length of time designated by the CDC. Stay in touch with your professors while out of class.
- Have a plan to contact your preferred healthcare providers, in case they are needed.
