Participants should bring some spending money in case of emergencies, or if their group wants to go for ice cream, souvenir shopping, etc. during offsite events. SCAD is a cashless campus. We recommend bringing a preloaded debit card or gift card to make purchases at university dining halls or cafés on campus. All meals, supplies, and transportation are covered in the cost of the program.

Can mail or packages be sent to residential SCAD Summer Seminars participants?
Receiving mail or packages is discouraged for participants in the SCAD Summer Seminars program. If a parent/guardian needs to get something to a participant right away, call the SCAD Summer Seminars office for assistance.

What happens on Friday?
The SCAD Summer Seminars program ends on Friday. Parents and guests are invited back to campus to observe their participant's workshops, view participant work, and meet with faculty and staff. Admission staff will be on hand to answer basic admission questions. However, if parents wish to schedule a tour, they may do so on their own by visiting scad.edu/visit.
