Join us April 25–28 for a celebration 40 years in the making. SCAD40 WKND gathers friends and families all weekend long for SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival, the unveiling of SCADstory, SCAD40 Block Party and so much more.

SCAD FAMILY AND ALUMNI WEEKEND
In recognition of the university’s 40th anniversary, Family and Alumni Weekend is part of the larger SCAD40 WKND celebration. This three-day event features activities and opportunities for students, families and four decades of alumni to return to the hive.

FRIDAY, APRIL 26
FOUNDATIONS STUDIES HONORS SHOW (AND EARLY CHECK-IN)
Visit this juried exhibition featuring student work from foundation studies classes while checking in for the weekend’s events.
WALKING TOUR OF HISTORIC SAVANNAH ARCHITECTURE
Join architectural history faculty on a fascinating walking tour of historic Savannah architecture. Tours last approximately one hour, and depart at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Reserve your spot during registration.

SCAD40 BLOCK PARTY
Celebrate the 40th anniversary of SCAD where it all began. Join the fun with fellow alumni, faculty, staff, students and families.
Visit shopSCAD for live artist demonstrations, Gryphon for live music, Art’s Café to purchase keepsake SCAD40 merchandise, SCAD food trucks for tasty treats and much more. This event is open to everyone in the SCAD community.

SAC MOVIE NIGHT: “BLACK PANTHER”
The SCAD Student Activities Council presents a screening of Academy Award winner "Black Panther," including remarks from an esteemed alumnus who worked on the film.

SIDEWALK ARTS FESTIVAL
Enjoy festival activities and see chalk masterpieces emerge from the sidewalks of the park. The event also includes food, music and student performances. Competition winners are announced at 4 p.m.
SCAD MUSEUM OF ART (OPTIONAL)
Experience a premier contemporary art museum, including photography from fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld and the first U.S. museum exhibition by painter Alex Gardner. Admission for registered families is free throughout the weekend.
LUNCH (OPTIONAL)
A number of local restaurants will have food available for purchase.
NOTE: The student meal plan is not valid with Sidewalk Arts Festival vendors.
