Head of creative for Turner Classic Movies since its inception, my role expanded to create design for its branding and packaging. When I was promoted to SVP, the Original Production Department, which produces long- and short-form programming for the channel, was added to my department. I managed a staff of writers and producers, and we elevated the content, editing, and shooting style of interviews shows and specials. As creative director I established the brand, developing the strategic vision, look, tone, style, and language of the channel’s on-air packaging and promotions. To achieve continuity across all media, I worked closely with ad sales, sponsors, marketing, and web to retain brand consistency.
