Yellow Ribbon

SCAD voluntarily participates in the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program, a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008.

Through the Yellow Ribbon Program, eligible veterans who apply and are accepted to the Savannah College of Art and Design may receive grant money from the university and a matching amount from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs toward their tuition at SCAD. Qualified students may receive either the Yellow Ribbon Grant or a SCAD scholarship based on academic or artistic achievement, whichever is higher. Although those who accept the Yellow Ribbon Grant are not eligible to receive other institutional scholarship awards from SCAD, they may qualify for additional federal or state aid and outside scholarships. Students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Aid, or FAFSA, and the Georgia aid application to receive maximum financial aid benefits.

Veterans must complete the Yellow Ribbon Acknowledgment Form before any Yellow Ribbon funds will apply to their account.
