Matthew Miller

Matthew Miller is a director and activist based in Southern California. In addition to Le Futur, his credits include the SCAD-produced film I am Thinking of Pierre Cardin, commissioned on the occasion of the retrospective exhibition Pierre Cardin: Pursuit of the Future at SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film. For both films, he conducted extensive research on the designer. Miller's graphic design background informs his strong aesthetic, which is influenced by the French New Wave films of Jean-Luc Godard. Miller also contributed to the SCAD documentary Dress Up Story — 1990 Until Now, a filmic portrait of iconic fashion designer Vivienne Westwood. Miller has created content for clients including Getty, The New York Times, and KENZO, among others. He is an advocate for regenerative agriculture and volunteers with Citizens' Climate Lobby.
