SCAD Summer Seminars participant experience

During SCAD summer programs, participants gain an authentic experience of what it's like to be a SCAD student. While activities and events vary between locations, this general overview covers a typical day.

Atlanta

7-8 a.m. Breakfast
8 a.m. Commuting participants check-in
8:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Workshop I
Noon Lunch and afternoon activities
1:15-2 p.m. Midday activities
2:30-5 p.m. Workshop II
5:30-6:30 p.m. Dinner
7-9:30 p.m. Evening activities

Savannah

SCAD Summer Seminars activities

Between workshops, participants have the option to participate in activities at SCAD or to explore the city with SCAD pre-college assistants. Our exciting social activities may include tours of local museums and galleries, visits to parks or botanical gardens, exploring historic downtown Savannah, a dolphin riverboat cruise, or visits to the Georgia Aquarium.

Activities, excursions and sightseeing destinations vary per location and may also include:

  • Movie screenings in SCAD theater spaces
  • Pool Block Party at The Hive in Savannah
  • Silent Disco
  • Museum visits in Savannah and Atlanta
  • The World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta
  • Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta
