- Evaluated holdings in the department's collection of Renaissance architectural drawings to develop a methodology considering drawing habits, workshop practices, and the craft of construction
- Analyzed Italian Renaissance architectural drawings to assess subject, authorship, drawing techniques, and workshop practices leading to the creation of original TMS entries, following the descriptive guidelines established by the Getty Research Institute Architectural Drawing Advisory Group (ADAG)
- Analyzed drawing techniques, materials, and artifact history with technical investigation tools
- Developed and implemented an original method to record digital images of paper watermarks at full-scale, which lead to the creation of a watermark database for reference by curatorial staff

- Led the project in conducting a series of case studies to investigate the transformation of the landscape and buildings within the Vatican territory during the past 20 centuries of occupation. Using the resulting analysis of archaeological evidence, architectural drawings, paintings, texts and other visual descriptions, developed both comprehensive and detailed three-dimensional digital models
- Prioritized research initiatives and implemented work plans to meet long-term and short-term objectives
- Managed daily operation and supervised research staff, including students and consulting scholars
- Structured the project's digital databases, including three-dimensional CAD and GIS models, source imagery, analytic representations, and historical documents
- Designed on-line interfaces for access to digital imagery, model archives, and research case studies

- Managed the exchange of project data with local student research initiatives and global research projects
