SCAD fashion alum Lei Zhang

Lei Zhang (M.F.A., fashion, 2023) — six-time winner of international design awards from the CFDA, The Rookies, and Pierre Cardin Young Designers — flips the script on traditional fashion with cutting-edge 3D modeling software, embracing the medium as an eco-friendly alternative to the physical space and manufacturing that traditional fashion costumes. Zhang's graduate thesis collection, "Virtual Religion," blends virtual fashion with reality to bring the concept to a broader audience.
