SCAD Savannah Film Festival guest Blitz Bazawule

SCAD Savannah Film Festival guest Blitz Bazawule (The Burial of Kojo, Black Is King) compares the influence and cultural representation in modern hip-hop with its cinematic counterparts. Previously a noted singer, songwriter, and producer, the Ghanaian-born Bazawule broke into film in 2018. The Color Purple, adapted from the stage musical version of Alice Walker's acclaimed novel, is his first major studio feature.
