Gyun Hur at the SCAD Museum of Art

“I was 13 years old when my family decided to immigrate to Atlanta, Georgia. It shaped and formed me,” says Gyun Hur (SCAD M.F.A., sculpture, 2009). In There is peace like a river 저기에 강같은 평화가, an exhibition at the SCAD Museum of Art, Feb. 15–May 15, 2023, the artist presents a new body of work that reflects on personal and collective memories of the American South refracted through her family history and heritage.
