SCAD fibers alum Anvi Shah

Artist. Educator. Cultural preservationist. For Anvi Nimi Shah (B.F.A., fibers, 2019), the three titles are as interwoven as the geometric patterns she strings together in a revelry of color, shape, and texture.  While a creative career felt inevitable, a fibers professor broadened the scope of what it meant to be a fibers and bead artist and how profound the medium could be, transforming Shah’s design into a thriving global community of artisans and economic opportunity.
