Bethesda Academy | SCAD Salutes

Founded in 1740, Savannah’s Bethesda Academy is the oldest child caring institution in the country and counts Benjamin Franklin among its earliest benefactors. Today, that proud legacy is fostered by Bethesda President Mike Hughes, Ph.D., and the scores of young men who rightfully hold their heads high as Bethesda Academy students and alumni. Many pursue higher education at SCAD, and all become ambassadors for Savannah around the world.
